I like to think of memorizing as a muscle. The more you work it, the better you get at it. That's a simple answer. I think Oprah said the voices in your head start out as whispers and then basically start slapping you in the face if you don't listen. My only conundrum (did i just use that word AND quote Oprah before noon?) is that the voices in my head are a little crazier than yours. but you slapped me in the face so thank you. I just watched Strictly Ballroom last night and it dealt with the same theme. You should watch it, it dealt with compromising your craft for the powers that be and the good of other people. Comparing my success or lack there of to others began to make me bitter, cynical, and frustrated. Thank God I realized, tho late in the game, my journey is just that. MINE. Looking at others' and basically "hatin" is a distraction from focusing on your own journey to success. Not to mention, everyone who APPEARS successful may not be. They drive a phat whip then live in a house with no furniture or sold their souls for material gain. Behind the wheel and designer shades may be an unhappy soul.
